Located at Collins Landing, the exterior restoration of Administration Building #1 includes a combination of architectural, land surveying, and civil engineering services.
The scope of work includes the reconstruction of the porch, including the sub-base, concrete slab, and stone veneer. Also included is the replacement of some sidewalk, stair and railing improvements, and replacement of windows on the Northern side of the building.
During a feasibility study which consisted of verification of existing conditions and review of program requirements with the owner, a number of items were discussed and added to the scope of work including removal of split face concrete block at the side of the ramp, installation of new concrete wall with stone veneer, and new siding on the Northern side of the building.
At a total construction cost at about $125,000 the project was awarded to DEW Builders as a proposed two-phase project. The first phase was to include windows and siding, with an estimated completion date of December 2017, and the second to be completed in the Fall of 2018 will consist of all site work outlined in the scope of the project.
