Madison Barracks, located in Historic Sackets Harbor, NY, was developed during the War of 1812 because of its convenient coastal location. The Barracks have aided our country through many wars, including The War of 1812 and WWII. Madison Barracks has also served as a Frontier Post, Military Depot, Hospital and Training Center.
Aubertine and Currier’s Architects and Engineers worked extensively with the owner to develop a master plan for the several acre waterfront property.
Phase I of the Master Plan consists of the restoration to several historical buildings that will be renovated into a grocery store, health clinic, fitness center, hotel, pavilion, and conference center.
Phase II of the project is currently under construction, and includes the construction of ten (10) new apartment buildings, housing 100 three (3) bedroom handicap adaptable apartments. This phase will also include the construction of fourteen (14) single family homes on premier lots.
Phase III includes the development of a recreational waterfront building. The building will house the operations for boat and kayak rentals. Upgrades to the existing marina, including a fueling station and sewage disposal station, will also be completed.
