The Development Authority of the North Country (DANC) Solid Waste Management Facility (SWMF) Southern Expansion project is the enlargement of the existing landfill in the Town of Rodman for the purpose of permitting, building, and operating an approximately 110 acres extension located directly to the south and west of the already existing landfill disposal area. The project will be built in phases, with new landfill liner cells built over the next fifty (50) to sixty (6o) years as additional disposal capacity is needed. The project also includes the installation of stormwater infrastructure, a perimeter road, and a temporary haul road which provides access to the 33.20 acre permitted Borrow Area No. 3, and to the 3.10 proposed Borrow Area No. 3 during the construction of the Southern Expansion.
A&C Civil/Site Engineering services provided on this project are in the form of a Resident Project Representative (RPR) continuous presence on site during Phase 1 in the fall of 2018 for approximately 11 weeks, and also during Phase II in the spring of 2019 for approximately 13 weeks. RPR services include general duties as an agent on Site under the direction and supervision of the Engineer, schedules, conferences and meetings, liaison with contractor and owner, interpretation of contract documents, shop drawings and samples, modifications, review of work and rejection of defective work, inspections, tests, and system startups, records, reports, payment requests, certificates, operation and maintenance manuals, and completion.
