Watertown Housing Authority Meadowbrook Apartment Site Lighting

As part of a term contract for Architecture and Engineering Services with the Watertown Housing Authority, Aubertine and Currier provided Engineering services for a site lighting project at the 100 Unit Meadowbrook Apartments, Watertown, NY.
The existing site lighting had been experiencing numerous electrical problems and outages. The exterior lights located on the apartment buildings, community building and maintenance building were older high pressure sodium light fixtures and were not very efficient. The final report recommended nine (9) action items.
Services provided included:
·Met with Maintenance personnel to review project objective.
·Reviewed available plans and documents for the site.
·Completed an examination and inventory of the existing site conditions, including, site electrical poles, panels, fixtures, and related components.
·Developed existing conditions/utility mapping of the site based upon available mapping, as-built plans, aerial imagery, and CAD files.
·Obtained available aerial survey mapping from the City for utilization.
·Created CAD file of site, based upon available data (no survey mapping).
·Prepared Conceptual layout of reconstruction. Outlined necessary improvements, including: fixture, poles, panels, and impacted walks, curbs, and asphalt.
·Prepared Conceptual Cost Estimate.
·Submitted Schematic Design, Cost Estimate and Summary Letter Report to WHA for further project budgeting and approval.
·Completed Final Design.
·Provided bid documents and administered public bid.
·Provided Construction Administration services.
