SUNY Canton Wicks Hall

Wicks Hall Nursing Suite (2016)

Aubertine and Currier Architects, Engineers & Land Surveyors, PLLC provided Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Administration services for the 3,600 sf renovation of the existing Nursing Suite at SUNY Canton. Aubertine and Currier designed the state of the art nursing suite with a six (6) bed simulation suite, nurses station, control room, twelve (12) faculty offices and a conference room. The renovation included new linoleum flooring and suspended ceiling systems throughout the entire space.

Aubertine and Currier also provided coordination with the Mechanical & Electrical Engineers along with pre-fabricated furniture suppliers to avoid any possible conflicts during the installation of new data/electrical connections to the pre-fabricated furniture, patient room medical supply/service piping and new control room electronics. The project also included LED lighting and day light controls to save energy.


Wicks Hall Retaining Wall (2014)

A&C provided Architectural/Engineering Design Services associated with the renovation work to a retaining wall outside of Wicks Hall. The retaining wall was in poor condition, with veneer becoming detached from the wall structure. The project involved removing and storing the existing stone veneer, installation of a “Cav-Air-Ator” drainage and ventilation mat, and installing “SANDWELL” Cell Vents prior to reinstalling the stone veneer.    


Wicks Hall Proposed Health Center (2014)

A&C prepared a conceptual plan for the relocation of the existing campus health center to the lower level of Wicks Hall. The center was designed to have (4) active exam rooms as well as a nurses station, staff offices and a multi-purpose training room.


Wicks Hall Lower Level Vestibule (2016)

WH 4

A&C provided Architectural/Engineering Design Services at Wicks Hall to replace the doors and renovate the entrance vestibule on the lower level of the Northwest stair tower. The remodel included installation of a new suspended ceiling system with 2’x2’ fissure tile and DX grid system, 6’x8’ stainless steel, slip resistant, walk off mat, state-of-the-art lighting, and doors designed with automatic accessible operators.
