Whiteface Mountain Base Lodge
Client: NYS Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) | Location: Lake Placid, NY | Completion Date: 2019 | Services Provided: Land Surveying
As part of the New York State’s plan to invest up to $20 million for major upgrades at both Whiteface and Gore Mountain, the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) Bear engaged Aubertine and Currier (A&C) to provide Professional Land Surveying services for the Whiteface Mountain Base Lodge Site.
A&C performed a topographic survey of approximately 5.0 acres of the land surrounding the ORDA Whiteface Mountain Base Lodge, providing services that included:
·Locating all improvements on site, such as buildings, parking lots, sidewalks, curbs, light poles, utility poles, etc.
·Locating visible evidence of underground and overhead utilities.
·Locating rim elevations of manhole structures, catch basins, culverts, etc.
·Locating individual trees, shrubs, and edges of large clusters.
A topographic survey map of the project area was also prepared by a Professional Land Surveyor in accordance with The Code of Practice of The New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors. All mapping was delivered in AutoCAD 2017 format, and referenced horizontally to the NYS Plane Grid Coordinate System NAD83, and vertically to NAVD88.
