Aubertine and Currier was responsible for architectural design, structural engineering, civil engineering, and surveying for the new Watertown Savings Bank Clayton Branch. Aubertine and Currier worked closely with Watertown Savings Bank through each phase of the project. These phases include: conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. The 3,200 sq. ft. two-story banking facility is constructed on the same site where the current bank was located on James St. in the Village of Clayton.
The banks exterior architectural details were designed to blend in well with the local community, while also complementing the historical elements of the Village. The project features a cyber café area for clients to enjoy. There is a relaxed ambience achieved by providing comfortable seating, internet access and a fireplace.
The interior also features Watertown Savings Bank’s signature curved teller line. The building is handicap accessible with an interior elevator to bring clients upstairs, where the community conference room is located. The conference room has ample windows to view the beautiful St. Lawrence River. For convenience to it’s clients, the bank will now have four lane drive thru service, which includes a by-pass lane, ATM and drop box.
Aubertine and Currier’s civil engineering and survey department worked together to develop site improvements for the new bank. Prepared site plans, Village special use / site plan Permit applications, and SEQR. The engineering department designed and reconfigured an expanded 9,000 sf asphalt parking area, access drives, 3 drive-thru teller lanes, bypass lanes, concrete walk, site lighting, grading, drainage, generator, and new water, sewer, electric, and Communication utility services. The survey department performed a boundary survey mapping of the existing property adjacent property acquired. Topographic and utility survey mapping of the existing site was completed, well as complete the construction layout the building and site improvements.
