GSA US LPOE Modernization and Expansion

Alexandria Bay, NY

The US General Services Administration (GSA) modernized and expanded US Land Port of Entry (LPOE) from Canada at Alexandria Bay, NY, facilitating it to become one of the busiest crossings between the United States and Canada. The $215 million project will be done in phases.

Northland/Cianbro, the contractor awarded the Construction Contract by the GSA, engaged the Aubertine and Currier (A&C) Architectural to assist in pursuing a LEED Gold certification and Land Surveying Department for the construction of the project.  

The LEED Consulting scope of work included providing construction administration services in order to ensure that LEED criteria were met in the review of construction materials, equipment submittals, and LEED Documentation. Architectural assistance was provided for the following requirements:

A&C’s Land Surveying scope included:

Phase One Scope of Services include building layouts for Parking Decks, Booths, CBP Warehouse, Commercial Building,  Main Building, Outbound Inspection Building, Veterinary Building, HAZMAT Building, and Non-Intrusive Inspection Building
